This game was made during the HNU Jam 2024.

Wildlife Tactics is multiplayer game about wits and strategic planing.

Controls:
- WASD movement
- SPACE confirm end turn
- SHIFT+WASD use ability

Abilities:
- Skunk: Slow debuff, increasing move cost for enemy units by 1
- Skating Duck: Kickflip over a tile, jumping over it
- Ram: Shove an enemy directly in front of it 2 tiles back

How to play multiplayer:

The Host:

- Starts the game
- Clicks "HOST"
- Takes a note of their IP and gives it to the client

The Client:
- Starts the game
- Copies the IP of the HOST into the Clipboard
- Presses CTRL + V on the main menu (NOT the in the join lobby)

To connect, either a local connection or a VPN is currently necessary, as NAT traversal, UPnP etc. are not yet set up.

Local games are possible, simply choose "local" in the main menu. Both players can then play on the same machine.

In a world full of conflict in which food is a rare commodity You are the chosen hero to bring balance in the wicked world, in which the devil tries to merge hell with the world. With your victory you free this world of the heretics that claim your gods pupils resources. You the prophet have command over the mightiest champions of the church. The champions are gene-modified clone pawns from the church, that will obey every order you will give them. Your god did provide you with three of these creatures. The first one is the "Alcoholic" skunk that has the ability to turn alcohol into frankincense. The smell will cloud the heretics minds and they will move slower in combat. His alcohol is so strong that anything it touches will disintegrate. The second champion is the "Demi-Angel" Tony Chicken. He is an angel-chicken hybrid blessed with the Skateboard Martial Arts. His skateboard is an ancient relic that has the Ten Commandments carved on. They give him holy advanced acrobatics and strength. With that power he can float to wherever he pleases. Legends say that he did once split the sea to make the biggest half-pipe to skate on. The last is the "Scapegoat" G.O.A.T.. He bares all sin from the believers of your religion.  The sins of people give him inhumane raw strength. He is the living incarnation of the stone that Sisyphus tried to roll up a mountain. His ability is to throw his enemy away.

Only you the chosen one can save this world from the evil that resides within. Stop the merge of our lands and the underworld and be the shining light that the people need.
